Refuse Collection and Recycling

Refuse:

Tuesday is Garbage Pick Up Day in the Village of Schuylerville.

All bags must be labeled with garbage stickers and placed curbside the day of garbage collection.

One (1) garbage sticker is required for a small (13 gal) bag.
Two (2) garbage stickers are required for a large (30 gal) bag.

Stickers are available at the Village Office, Byron’s Supermarket and can also be purchased via mail by sending a check (made out to the Village of Schuylerville)along with the number of sticker requested. Cost: $2 each.

Recycling:

We are now, “Zero Sort”

Garbage and recycling will be picked up every Tuesday (unless there is a major snowstorm)

Regular household garbage (1 sticker for kitchen bag, large trash bag 2 stickers)

Recycling:   plastic, glass, newspapers (dry) junk mail, magazines and tin cans (rinsed)

Large items such as couches, mattresses and chairs can be taken from the curb, however you must contact Rob Decker at (518) 695-3675 to get information on how many of the special garbage stickers ($10.00 per ticket) you will need to purchase, and when he will be able to take the item.

Please NOTE: Computer Peripherals and Small Electronics also includes any cable, cord, or wiring permanently affixed to or incorporated into such product. ~ Faxes, Scanners, Printers must be devices intended for use with a computer
and weigh less than 100 lbs.
